Walking Montalbano July 2022
Excursions on the historical paths of Lamporecchio and Montalbano go on
Four guided walks are scheduled for the month of July. They are organized by the Municipality of Lamporecchio and the tourist office San Baronto-Lamporecchio and they are an unmissable chance for tourists and local people to discover the hidden treasures in Lamporecchio and the Montalbano hill walking along the paths in our territory with groups of maximum 30 people and booking required. All our guided visits are free and are in Italian and English with our qualified guide Michela Del Negro.
Thursday July 7th at 9 a.m. the walk starts from Fornello and then we climb to Sant’Amato where you can admire the monumental vineyards, we go on to via Le Croci, Leporaia hill and we come back to the starting place with a loop trail.
Thursday July 14th at 5 p.m. after a visit of the Church and its evocative Romanic crypt in San Baronto, the walk will follow the Montalbano ridge path immersed in chestnut and pine trees to discover some of the best views and then head to San Baronto with a loop trail.
Thursday July 21st at 9 a.m. the walk starts from the village of Porciano and continues through via Vecchia Maremmana to reach Papiano, then the excursion goes on to Casa di Monte and Poggio alla Baghera before coming back to Porciano.
Thursday July 28th at 9 a.m. the walk starts from Lamporecchio, following a path surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and stops at Forrà Pruno farm, a local producer of olive oil, vegetables, fruit and site of a laboratory for the production of jams, fruit jiuce and sauces. After the visit the walk goes back to the starting point.
