Walking Montalbano
Our summer guided walks are back
Summer is going to start and Walking Montalbano guided walks are back. They are organized by the Municipality of Lamporecchio and the tourist office San Baronto-Lamporecchio and they are an unmissable chance for tourists and local people to discover the hidden treasures in Lamporecchio and the Montalbano hill walking along the historic paths in our territory.
We are starting on Saturday June 16th at 4 pm, with a walk about 6 km long, which unveils unforgettable views, the same ones which more than five hundred years ago inspired the genius Leonardo Da Vinci, and which will do a stop-over at the church of Santa Maria del Pruno in Orbignano and on the Leporaia hill.
Saturday June 23rd at 9.30 am there is an easy walk following a path 6 km long which will go through the Varignano area. On this occasion we also invite your four-leg friends to take part in the walk to spend a morning outdoors and discover some hidden places in Lamporecchio.
June will close up with the walk on Saturday 30th at 9.30 am with a trail about 7 km long from Lamporecchio to Porciano where you will admire the terracings that man has used to sculpt the landscape; it will be also possible to visit the church of San Giorgio in Porciano.
All our guided visits are free and are in Italian and English with our qualified guide Michela Del Negro.
In July, August and September our guided visits will be on Wednesday.
