Walking Montalbano August 2024
Excursions on the historical paths of Lamporecchio and Montalbano are back
Our guided walks continue in August. They are organized by the Municipality of Lamporecchio and the tourist office San Baronto-Lamporecchio and they are an unmissable chance for tourists and local people to discover the hidden treasures in Lamporecchio and the Montalbano hill walking along the paths in our territory.
Our weekly excursions are organized in groups of maximum 30 people and booking required. All our guided visits are free and are in Italian and English with our qualified guide Michela Del Negro.
Thursday August 1st at 8.30 a.m. starting from the village of Porciano, the group will walk towards the areas of Le Gorgole and then will continue to Poggio alla Baghera to return to Porciano with a path mainly in the woods. At the end it will be possible to visit the Church of San Giorgio.
Thursday August 8th at 9 a.m. the itinerary follows medieval paths surrounded by vineyards and then stops at “Il Poderino dei Trinci” farm which produces olive oil, wine and wheat.
Thursday August 15th at 8.30 a.m. after a visit of the Church and its evocative Romanic crypt in San Baronto, our guide will lead you to discover some of the most amazing views of our hill.
Thursday August 22nd at 8.30 a.m. starting from the Church of Santa Maria del Pruno in Orbignano the itinerary will head to Tigliano, frantoio del Ferrale and will reach Vinci area to come back to the starting point.
Thursday August 29th at 8.30 a.m. the walk starts from Fornello and then we climb to Sant’Amato where you can admire the monumental vineyards, we go on to via Le Croci, Leporaia hill and we come back to the starting place with a loop trail.
