Conversations about history, art and literature, the altar of the Visitation by Giovanni della Robbia, 1524-2014, Church of Lamporecchio: unknown or original events of a masterpiece, June 23rd
The series of meetings by Accademia di Masetto continue on Friday, June 23 at 9.30 p.m. in the Church of Santo Stefano in Lamporecchio. Simone Martini, architect and local history expert will talk about the events regarding the altar of Visitation, undoubtedly the most important artistic masterpiece in our territory, among relocations, thefts, damages and restorations. The classes IV C of the primary school and III C of Francesco Berni Secondary School, Fai Maps Award 2017 winners, will participate together with the teachers Monica Giuntoli and Elisabetta Maccioni with a work about the historic centre of the town and the altar of Visitation.
